Darts Components

A dart is comprised of several components, flights, shaft, barrel and tip.
When properly chosen and assembled, these components should result in a dart that is personalized for your playing style.

Tip:
There are two types of dart tips,  steel tip or soft tip.
Steel tipped darts are used with bristle dartboards, and soft tip darts are used with today’s electronic dartboards. If you did not know it’s no problem to use soft tip darts on bristle dartboards.

Shaft:
The Shaft provides the proper spacing between the flight and the barrel. Shafts are manufactured from a number of different materials including, nylon, aluminium, poly carbonate, titanium, steel, magnesium to mention some.  Read more about shafts here.
